Above the Shore - Original oil painting

Above the Shore - Oil on 12”x16” deep edge canvas.

This piece was created because I enjoy painting the ocean; the colours and body of the sea are ever changing and it’s nice to capture in different ways. The day I took this picture was early on a summers morning down West Bay. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the water was very clear, giving this rich blue/ teal colour. Normally I paint the sea from a vantage point on the shore but for this one I took a drone shot directly downward where the water met the sand. This is about as abstract as I get.
